15% off + 10% off totals 23.5% off, not 25% off.

I like the older aeron before they remodeled it. They don't lean back as much as the older models. The posture fit, I don't feel it like the older model. But in the end it saves my back so all is worth it. I'm pondering about an Embody, since my wife took one of my aerons in my second study room.
For me, the embody is better for lower body (thigh) support. I also have an ames in the living room, but I wish had the larger version (still use it daily though). Finally a couple sails for wife and daughter that are great. Its good to have a relative working for HM as I only by stuff once at a huge discount...

What if I don't like it? Can I ship back at their cost? Much muss and fuss to return if I don't like it?

I have been using an areon for 15 years at work I love it. I do like the C size however. I am 230+ pounds.

Steelcase over Herman Miller. Thank me later
I 100% agree. I have a gesture at work and a leap at home.

I don't understand the Aeron love on slickdeals. My last job had these as the office chairs and I was not a fan. The first Aeron I had broke pretty quickly (granted, I am 6'3" and 210 lbs, and was plopping down on it). But, to HM's credit, the replacement Aeron then lasted for the remaining 6 years of constant sitting, and was still going when I left the company (I did stop plopping down on it though). So I guess I would say that they are durable as long as you don't abuse them. More importantly, however, I was never comfortable in that chair. I would constantly find myself contorting in odd postures in order to alternate the sides of my ass I was sitting on.

As comparison, I just got an Ayalon from Staples for working at home, and so far it has been infinitely more comfortable. If it doesn't degrade too much for the next three years, I would much rather need to replace it every few years than have an Aeron that lasts forever but is never that comfortable.

I need a comfortable chair. Would this be one?
Not really? It's build to last but as you can see, no fancy padding.

I had one for 10 years. Had a quadruple bypass this summer. Was too comfy. Sat there for 12 hours 5 days a week. Never moved. Went back to a $100 chair that isn't comfy so I have to change positions and get off my lazy butt once in a while. I'm even more productive now. Wasn't the best purchase I've ever made. Those saying it is are justifying paying over $1000 for a chair so they feel better about themselves and not a sucker.

It's not the most comfortable chair for sure but they are meant to last a long time.

Question for you with experience buying expensive chairs like this.

Why not buy from Madison Seating? The chair is $550 with arm rests and everything new.
Do not buy from them, I bought one from ebay form them and it was a disaster! It was squeaky and the gas hydro peice wasn't working right, I even took a video showing all the negative things about this chair yet they refused to return it

Agreed, Steelcase has much better armrests. The backs also have an interesting feature that adds a little resistance when recline then go forward a bit. Maybe they don't look as modern as Herman Miller but they're much more comfortable for me. I have an Aeron and Amia and prefer the Amia by far, and it's a cheaper chair.

Ehhh, I really want to bite, but I grabbed a pretty well refurbed classic Aeron with front/ forward tilt/lock and adjustable lumbar for $500 during the summer. It's black and I REALLY want a grey one, but I can't justify double the price with the upgrades, even though I'm certain I can sell my current one for the price I bought it for. TL'DR I'm a cheap bitch.
