They got bought by luxottica in 2007, now they are they come out of the same factory as every other pair of sunglasses you can buy in the mall or target.
But those e-wire glasses are ugly af, even Michael Jordan looked goofy in them.

FWIW, I have gascan and holbrook, and I like the fit and look of both. I have a very big noggin - hats/helmets typically don't fit me. I'm thinking about picking up another pair of polarized holbrook, as mine are pretty scratched up and real Oakley lenses are $.

Oakley's used to be the best back in the early 2000's when they made them out of metal. Check out the E-Wire's or Juliet for what Oakley used to be when they commanded the high price tag. I honestly don't know how someone can spend that kind of money on something made of plastic because you're just paying for the name and not quality at that point. So iI'll be rocking my E-Wire 2.1's and I don't plan to replace them until Oakley uses metal again.

I agree with you on that. The gen 1 E-Wires are hideous. the 2.1's are WAY better, at least IMO.

Eh... I had square wires that fell apart and I barely wore them.

Big head guy here. I'm not that familiar with Oakley models but I did happen to go sunglass shopping recently and tried on the Holbrooks. They were a good fit. Definitely a large fit model.

They're okay I'm in the army and used the brown ones in uniform they're really weak in hot weather and a lot of work. I used them while deployed and probably got three months of use before I had to stop wearing. They're super light which was a big draw to me

I don't know what the other commenters talking about. I have a large head/wide face and Gascans are definitely no. Not sure what all is available but I've had luck with the Turbine and Siphon. Flak XLs are good too.
