230 ft...in a perfect vacuum...with no objects in between...with 100ft radar dishes behind each device calibrated to the nanometer, with brand new fully charged lithium batteries in each device, in a universe with no other radiation from any source and no other objects that exist apart from the thermometer, and the phone.
The two probe one is a dollar more after coupon.

As far as app safety goes, I would always choose bluetooth over WIFI. It always bothers me when an app needs access to my WIFI password. Bluetooth doesn't have that problem.
Bluetooth had given me issues no matter what the distance claims. For around 50 a couple times a year you can get the Inkbird and monitor anywhere with 4 probes and can calibrate it fine. It's about need, preference, and cost though
How big is the probe on these things? (That's what she said). My grill has 4 outputs to insert probes but the one that came with the grill is way too big. I prefer not to jam a railroad tie into my steak and turn it into a slab of roast beef.

If you have two of these that broke in less than a year, then why are you asking if it's reliable? You know good and well that it's not reliable.
