Awesome game. The increased speed over the original on Wii U is a shockingly huge improvement. And Bowser's Fury is just an absolute delight. My (nearly) 6 year old son loves both games, but especially Bowser's Fury because of the complete freedom you have to explore, and that I can jump in and play as Bowser Jr. to help him out.

Full stamp of approval and recommendation for this one. It's a mainline Mario game - 99.9% of the time, that is a very safe purchase.
Not exactly. There's a significant amount of tweaks to gameplay like making movement faster and adding new moves like the dive from Mario Odyssey. And it also adds a few new stages and an entirely new 5-8 hour campaign called Bowser's Fury.

There is actually a $10 off $50 offer from Discover, if you have their card. I also had a $5 credit from a recent gift card deal, for a final price of $35+tax, which isn't bad.

Yes, the main Mario 3D World game has 4 player couch co-op which is ridiculously fun. It quickly becomes an exercise in trying to keep at least one player alive while the rest are constantly dying.

Bowser's Fury also has 2-player couch co-op but we found it almost impossible for the 2nd player to make sense of where they were because the camera only follows the first player. We gave up after about 30 minutes and I just played it alone.

Stick to playing only the main game in couch co-op.

Nice deal for a new-ish Nintendo game! I usually buy physical, but I think this is one of the new cases where I'll wait for a digital deal (so I can game-share among our two Switches and play online coop)

Great co-op game. Me and the girlfriend love it. I love picking her up and "accidentally" throwing her off the edge. Lots of good laughs

I see the comments of "16m" ago and keep thinking it's 16 months ago. Hey, get this game, it's a great Mario game! In 16 months you'll see people buying it and say "hey buy that game! Totally worth it at $45 imho."

There's probably enough gushing reviews but I will add my opinion anyways. As far as "platforms" go, it is near perfect in my opinion. I say platform because of the simplicity — yeah it's "3D" but you don't have to go around completing dumb missions and talking to people. My only complaint is that it is hard to co-op with really young kids (who can't even tell that they are holding the controller right side up and just want to be included) because the view seems to favor them as they run off into oblivion and you get bubble-sucked over to them. It would be great if they could fix that and had a playable Nabbit(?)-like character for littler kids. Also the option to turn off the Nabbit-like white invincibility suit that offers itself after you lose on a level a few times would be nice.

I find it hard to go back to normal Mario platforms after playing this game, I guess because it's so responsive and fast.

I'm a casual gamer. I found luigi's mansion 3 a bit simplistic in all aspects(made for kids?). Suffice to say I was a bit bored with it, but I finished it anyway since I paid 50 or so for it. On the flip side zelda botw was too open world for my attention span. Do you think this game is a good middle ground and still fun?

The 3D World one is one of my favorite Mario games — worth it even without Bowser's Fury tacked on. If you are a Switch gamer, Super Mario 3D World: Bowser's Fury should definitely be added to your collection. You can't go wrong with two great games in one!

I still hate nursing a deal now but physical games are out for me as a parent to 4 under the age of 6, you can absolutely guess why 😁

Before I would've just purchased n not considered that $10 & tax for the digital download for a child gamer might be wirth more than that. After two incidents I'd like to never have a lost/destroyed console game again 🙄
FYI if you set your zip code in the switch settings to a tax free location (i.e. NH, OR....) you won't be taxed on your digital purchases. Of course you also get your coins with any purchase that can be used for a future purchase.

Saw this tonight. Lowest price I've seen! Lower price than pre-owned at GameStop!

It has been this price since day 1 at Walmart in stores. Every AAA Switch game is $50 or lower.
