The 45lb weight is slightly smaller than a bumper plate, so for deadlifting you will either need a couple foam pads under the weights or to deal with going lower than normal.

They also have a pretty significant layer of oil on them - I assume from the rubber/coating sweating while shipping over in the container from Asia. I rubbed them down with some kitchen degreaser to prevent my hands from becoming slippery every time I adjust weight.

I have the Fitness Gear set. It's held up for several years now. The bar is garbage but it's served it's purpose until I could afford some higher quality items. The max weight is supposed to be 300 lb but I've gotten up to around 400 and it hasn't bent/broken yet - not willing to test it much higher. As for the weight.... weight is weight. The quality isn't nearly as important as it often gets made out to be. These aren't going to be precision weights, but they allow progressive loading and you can get stronger.

I could purchase 2 300lb sets from dicks for 600 (use 10% discount, 298 each) sell the bar for $100 and be better off than this deal.

e been looking for the second one that is the Fitness Gear one. Once in a while Dick's shwos one available at a store nearby but disappears quickly. Never able to find time to go get it as its bit of a drive for me. One black Friday it went down to $150, regular price has been $250. Recently they upped this to $300 (read demand/post covid world). Reviews are great on this one.
