only thing worse than the machine is dealing with their customer service. They are programed to be stupid. They force you to walk through all the troubleshooting you would have already done before calling them so be prepared for a 1 to 2 hour phone call to get a repair or replacement going.
they push repair. If you want a replacement sent get your angry hat on to make that happen.
No problem dealing with customer service. Still a great machine on sale and you can refill the pods . But yes, the failure rate is an issue.
I am not closing the lid when not in use. I have it partially open. Perhaps that prevents pressure on holding wires and top seal that may prevent leaks. Just a guess.
So far my replacement machine is working.
The wife wants one, but I'm reading horrible reviews on their website and across Reddit.
I've owned the Vertuoline (first pic) for like 5 years now or so, and haven't had any issues. The coffee it brews is great. I'll drink it black just bc it's so delicious. It creates a froth on top called "crema" based on how it's brewed.
As another commented said, it doesn't brew it scalding hot, just a regular hot. You can run the machine to heat it up using a rinse mode or using an empty pod if you want it a bit hotter
