It's perfect to spunk up canned chili, since they are so bland.
Add about one teaspoon chili powder and reheat 2+ minutes in the microwave.

AIot of these chiIi powders are made with ancho or Cayenne peppers. lf your local market has those sundried big ones you can put it in a coffee grinder or use a mortar pestle to get them Iike this for more savings.

Chile is probably what you want. Chili powder is peppers that are usually unspecified, and other things. In this case garlic, salt and "spices" which is usually a lot of paprika. Chile usually tells you what pepper it's made from, and that's pretty much it. Ancho is probably what you want. Serrano is great. Grabbing a variety pack is a good idea of you're looking to branch out from chili powder.
