no need to bring the item back, buy one at lower price and return it right away using the old receipt. win-win.
A router will work with anything. This will connect to your modem, dsl, cable, etc
No it doesn't

Added another one as a wired bridge hoping it would be boost the signal and increase the download speed. Instead the speed goes half. Have Comast Gig plan. The firmware options are very limited. Not very happy with the product. Most likely it's going back...

Router newbie......would this work with AT&T fiber? Thanks
When I had AT&T two years ago, I had to use the at&t leased equipment (modem/router combination). The router part of the equipment was terrible. I managed to setup my own router but it did require a number of steps. I don't remember exactly but it was something like mentioned here [dslreports.com]

It may have changed and probably easier to do now.

Id be wary of any router that linksys doesnt have listed on their product page. Any router they dont have listed they stopped selling themselves and stopped making firmware for, even if its a new looking router like this one thats only a few years old. They pretty much dropped support for anything they made prior to the last time the linksys brand was sold off for the umpteenth time

Linksys MR9610 is the same as MR9600. 9610 is only sold by Sam's. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ques...de3f45d6cd
It is also stated in 1 of the Sam's Review that is titled: A solid router if you know how to set up.

Interesting. You can use it as router mode, different subnet though.

Returned both. Firmware options were very limited. Using Orbi 753S from costco deal. The wifi speeds are better. AX6000 orbi (85x) would be sweet. Waiting for a deal.

Interesting, after I addressed Costco on the mr7500 being incorrectly advertised as not having usb

It's been pulled off their site. I can't click re order and the page is gone. Hope I didn't ruin people getting one now
They got it back by scrubbing the USB ports in one of the picture….

V2 is better?
A member previously posted that the V2 made some improvements.

So I ended up exchanged and I did get a V2 now.

Wanted to as though, because I havent upgraded in a while these news routers use something called band steering which combines both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections from what I can tell as the Wifi is on one name and log in now, I am used to it being separated.

For best performance, should I separate them with this router or keep band steering on where it is combined?

I am on gigbit 1000mbps internet now and wifi on my desktop to about 20 ft or so away, I am getting up to 500mbps OTA. Ethernet gets me pretty close though 950-980 mbps.

you'll be fine either way I assume, I have my linksys mr7500 all 3 channels are the same name. I look @ my ps5 signal periodically, its always 100% but sometimes its 2.4ghz sometimes it 5ghz, it just chooses whatever best at that time.

so I assume yours will do the same just fine

Update, the hydra started to shit out on me, dropping stuff nonstop. no idea what happened, I went to Sams club and asked if they would honor my original purchase of 149 since I returned it, they did. gave me a new one.

Mr9610 V1. it looks entirely different inside than V2. but im not complaining, it seems to be working beautifully.

Avoid the wifi 6 e hydra. also, the netgear wifi 6e' routers are also getting trash reviews. im assuming there's some compatibility issues to get worked out. it would drop them and refuse to let things connect for minutes but the signal was still live. just strange, happened to all the iPhones in my house.

never disconnected the consoles though. but this is something that has never happened on my 5 year old linksys router. just strange indeed
