I got really excited when I got this notification because I thought it was the duo lol. This is decent pricing for the single channel. Best pricing I have seen so far was 134 around black Friday last year on Amazon and maybe 129 at another retailer but I have the Duo (which includes the 1080p rear camera) in both my Audi and BMW and it's awesome but you do need to reduce exposure on bright days which is most days here in Georgia. The Viofo app is horrible on iPhone but works decent on android and being able to pull over and review the footage a couple minutes after capture is very useful even if you think you'd never use it. Only downside is the power cables are very thick which made it difficult but not impossible to hide in some of the tighter headliners like Audi/VW but that's common with most dashcams that use mini USB. Overall, I love the camera and the only thing I would choose over it is the Aukey 4K dashcam which is out of stock and that's because at its best price it was $69 but there was no WiFi or app capability, similar video quality though.
Dash cams are super useful for fighting off those accident scammers. You have no idea how many people will fake jump in front of your car and get hit for cash. Don't ever drive a nice car in Russia man, same for major cities in China and oddly Madagascar.

I'd buy again. Recommended purchase.
On my 3rd Viofo because of their terrible quality. I have this same model which works intermittently. Previous one turned into a brick in 4 months. disposable dash cams

I appreciate your input on this camera. I just started looking into dashcams and saw that this one was recommended alot in the dashcam community and on reddit. Was wondering what your experience was with the recording length before overwriting (128gb sd card im guessing) and what quality video settings you set on yours. I was also worried about the thicker cables and trying to hide it in my vehicle but i guess ill make due.

As far as the mentioned 134 price, was that for the duo? I saw on amazon and it looks like its around $60 to get the rear one separately, so its still a decent discount vs the normal $250 price for the duo.

Thanks for mention of the Aukey as well, ill add that to my list to keep an eye on. Seems to be only a front camera though.

If someone mentioning about the Aukey 4K (wedge shape) Dash Cam, that's not true 4K resolution unlike the Viofo.

For those that only needs a front camera, this is probably one of the higher video quality dash cam out there. If you're looking for dual channels, one thing I dislike about Viofo A129 series is the cabling, as they're too thick and make it a bit more difficult to tug around the headliners.

Viofo do have the A139 where it's up to 3 channels (front, interior, rear) and the connecting cable for rear cameras are a lot thinner.

FYI: this is not the DUO version, the DUO version is much better.

You can get a large amount of recording on 128 gb, I would say it depends more on the resolution that you use. Even though all of my cams are 4K, I tend to record on 2k/1440p. I get over 30 hours of recording but never added up the time, I just tend to have about 2 weeks of footage before overwriting and I drive a lot. The main thing to keep in mind is your looping which is the length of your clips before starting another one (I use 5 minute loops). With that being said, you can also save/protect files so they won't be overwritten over time, with that feature it doesn't matter how many files you have, those protected files will always be saved in a separate folder for future viewing. The $134 was for the 129 pro not the duo, lowest I've seen for the duo was $209 which is when I got my two units and yes the Aukey 4K is only front cam.

I have the A139 that just came out (3 channel) so I wonder if this is the start of major price reductions on the A129. Something I wish Viofo would add the ability to stream from anywhere and upload to a cloud like Blackvue. Hopefully in the future, sooner than later.

I have this model in the duo with the rear camera. Great camera and very discreet. I did all the wiring myself.
I highly recommend hard wire via fuse taps, and make sure the car's battery is disconnected as to not accidentally set off any of the airbag sensors. Get yourself some interior panel tools as it will make the job easier.
Would buy again!

Good or best 4k quality recording dashcam for day time use, very bad dynamic range at night time, noisy and you will not be able to see license plate at night.

Would this survive the NC sun? I had another dash cam years ago where the battery quickly died and haven't gotten a dash cam again since. Does one exist where I can just leave it there at all times? Also the old one drained and killed my battery while the car wasn't running... Would this have that problem?
