Long answer: I have 2013 MacBook air and managed to use the original battery till Mar 2021. What I liked about MBA is I don't have to carry my charger with me. I just charge it at night and use it during the day (less than 8 hours/day). The last couple of years I had to carry the charger and MBA suddenly switched off when battery had 50% left. With the new battery, I'm back to leaving my charger home.

I was debating on replacing my battery soon, was initially going to think about having Apple do it since I was not aware you can do this yourself, I've got about 300 cycle counts left but will go through that in about 3 months since I'm working from home a lot now. I'm assuming the battery life really degrades after you reach the 1000 cycle count that Apple says this battery has as a max.
At this price I might as well try it out, even though the product description states this battery condo up to 500 charging cycles. That seems to be half of what the original battery can do but this is a lot cheaper. Might be a good option to hold me off until I can upgrade the entire laptop.
