Sorry, but there was never a similar I5 for $300 during BF.

The 11th Gen WERE shipping during BF, but the deals were only on the 10th Gen.
Huge Generational Difference.

The SCREEN on this laptop is actually a quality screen in both NITS and Resolution.
The BF deals did not have this quality screen....

The BUILD Quality for the mid-tier laptops, this is a high-quality build with better chassis, keyboard, trackpad, etc.. etc....

The SSDs were smaller on bottom-tier....

And no....In General, there were not any long-standing deals for any i5s at $300. Perhaps a 5-minute deal, but those were the older i3s....Any i5 deal that was not OOS in under 5minutes for the i5 was closer to $350.

And if you are lucky to have the AMEX deal, then this is only $420....
Blowing away even BF deals if you have the AMEX deal.

No, it is not high at all and in fact one of the cheapest price. And What is that idiotic logic of paying over $500 for a 14 incher? You know, there are 14 incher costing $2000 as well. The Price of a Laptop is not just decided by the Screen size.

If anyone purchased it from earlier thread at $534, contact Dell support and they should be able to price match it to today's price. It's just $14.71 buts still worth the effort to make the deal sweeter. So essentially $534- $38( McAfee subscription cancellation)- $14.71( price adjustment)= $484-( $100 Amex offer) = $384 + taxes.
