The 11th Gen WERE shipping during BF, but the deals were only on the 10th Gen.
Huge Generational Difference.
The SCREEN on this laptop is actually a quality screen in both NITS and Resolution.
The BF deals did not have this quality screen....
The BUILD Quality for the mid-tier laptops, this is a high-quality build with better chassis, keyboard, trackpad, etc.. etc....
The SSDs were smaller on bottom-tier....
And no....In General, there were not any long-standing deals for any i5s at $300. Perhaps a 5-minute deal, but those were the older i3s....Any i5 deal that was not OOS in under 5minutes for the i5 was closer to $350.
And if you are lucky to have the AMEX deal, then this is only $420....
Blowing away even BF deals if you have the AMEX deal.

and still be able to post the transaction on 4/30 for Amex ? 482+6%tax=511$
How to contact support for cancelling McAfee subscription ?
Amex shows Dell 100 off 500 expires 4/30 and charges should be posted.
Amex also says it will take 72hrs of initial authorization to post the charge so (5/2 maybe ?)
I am not exactly sure on how the timelines work. Can anyone please confirm.

It kind of looked like a mess opening that bottom sheet.
To get to 16 GB I would purchase another 8 GB to install in the empty slot (has 8 in one slot now, 2nd is empty).
Per another persons reply, Dell sells them for $54. This is a bit more than you can purchase an 8 GB stick for elsewhere, but...it'd be an exact match (spec, brand, etc.)...which is ideal.
I would not do what someone else suggested, put a 32 GB stick in the open slot (original 8 in the other). While on that topic, 32 is probably overkill on this machine...but if you really think you need that (and believe you'll get real world speed improvements over 16 GB)...get (2) 16 GB sticks.
