Or, maybe people are busy? Or they want to avoid crowds right now? Did you consider any of the alternatives?

Speaking of being lazy, intellectual laziness is a thing too, you know?

There are very old people in this country that cannot drive or walk to the store and depend upon services like this including meals on wheels.

Not everyone is mobile like you. Now add disabled people. Chronically ill people.

A service like this is critical to folks like this.

A lesson to think first before posting.

In addition, since these people cannot go to the store, I can grab all the clearance goodies at Target.

Have had a free Shipt membership from Target for the past couple of months. Haven't been able to use it since. Either what I want isn't available that way, or the high minimum. Don't be fooled, it's another Target Retail Scam. If you're gonna pay for it, you're better off throwing your money in the street

And then there's people like me who aren't that old who'd prefer to get their exercise running around the block or on my bike while someone is delivering my groceries Smilie

I did the Shipt free trial last year and was pretty happy with it. I don't remember... is it a service where we are supposed to tip like Walmart+? When the tip option is there I always do it as I feel for the people schlepping my order.

Been using Shipt for the last year. We use it exclusively for Target but recently started using it with Costco with the membership discount linked.

Shipt has no premiums attached to items when shopping at Target, that means you get standard price plus 5% discount if using red card, no markups. There is a minimum for purchase with membership, but there is no delivery fee, otherwise it's $9.99 without the Shipt membership per order. Tipping is recommended.

I have 2 Targets in my city and I never have a problem with my orders being picked up/shopped at the time frames I need.

Target carries a lot of good foods/groceries that are priced very competitively. I would compare it to Aldi prices, and even say a lot of their store brand items are the same supplier as Aldi. Dairy, lunchmeats, chicken breast, all very cheap and good. Their fresh produce is limited and often not great quality

Costco on the other hand has limited shop windows and of course has the markup of all the other non-Target stores Shipt offers delivery with. The discount if you have a membership is 10% though, so that offsets the markup.

We use Costco primarily for fresh produce.

Refunds are super quick and easy with Target orders if there is an issue (damaged, bad, expired) (as credit back to card) and with other stores you get account credit for next purchase.

I use Instacart as there is only one store that I shop at that is on Shipt and not on Instacart and that is Winn-Dixie. Here in Central Florida Instacart has Publix, Target, BJ's, Costco, Sam's, Sprouts, Aldi, Walgreens, Fresh Market, as well as multiple retailers like Big Lots, Family Dollar, and more. Several of them are same price as in store. On others there are coupons for online specials only and BOGO. As to the ridiculously stupid people calling users lazy....as mentioned elderly, disabled, people with young children, car broken or no car especially in bigger cities or I don't want to spend half of my day shopping at 5 different stores.

I did a 90 day trial with Shipt and my first order was fine. I didn't a second order and it was a disaster. They wouldn't refund me the GC I used at Target and kept telling me they didn't charge me. I was bounced back and forth between Shipt and Target with no results. I complained to the BBB and my issue is still unresolved. Once they take your GC balance and your item isn't in stock the funds don't return to your GC. Then I found out Target actually owns Shipt but it's considered a separate company. Trashy company.

There is a similar deal for Walmart+. It is 99.00 for a year and a cash back site is offering 50.00 cash back. Contemplating it. 🐝..........Frugal

I think you have bigger problems if you equate shopping with exercise.

Exactly, I think the debate here on the value of Shipt is too extreme. Just remind everyone to review the store availability and consider how much you value your own time. I would pay someone a few bucks to do my shopping while I get my 30 minutes real core exercise done. But that's me and my earning power.

The real deal here is if, like previously, you can apply as Credit for your existing membership.
For existing members, it's 33 percent off the bundle or 45 percent off Shipt if you value Target GC at 90 percent.
Buy several and the premium, membership cost and tip is small compared to the savings.

Can I use this to extend my current shipt membership that is expiring in June? Do I get a code of some sort?

As someone said, Shipt does not mark up items from Target. In some cases, it has specials that bring prices less than Target. That can be a major savings if your Target has a good grocery section, which we use. Also, useful when you read about good deals at Target on Slickdeals, and can't down there. If the deal is sold out, you haven't wasted any time.

I just joined to understand how these deals work. It can be a great deal.
I paid $ 79 during the pandemic.
