ahh I think the reason I didn't include that benefit in my accounts list is because I have Costco and they don't take Discover. At least, the store doesn't. I forget that I can use it online, I rarely purchase from their online store.

Kinda miffed I missed out on that extra 3%. I only got 2% with my Citi Costco Visa. I thin I'll chat them tomorrow and see if they can change the credit card billing
The Citi Visa card extends the warranty for an additional year which Discover does not.
If you ask me the $20 in additional cash back is worth sacrificing for the additional year of warranty coverage.

$698 ipad pro 11 and that's including NJ tax and shipping and not including 5% cashback with Discover. That makes it I $665. Sell your 10.5 on fb you could get more than $300, $400 I guess easy, at least. that makes total cost to you about $250 to upgrade to the latest model. With chip shortages not going away prices will stay high. The M1 laptop chip in a tablet ipad pro will maintain value better than the 10.5 going forward. In two years not many people will want to buy a 5 year old ipad unless it's very cheap.

And then of course you get to enjoy having a brand new device that you'll use for the next few years.
Great advice. My 2018 iPad Pro 11 is running strong with zero issues.

However, I decided to sell it and received $500 for it. The math is as follows:

$799 2021 iPad Pro 11
-$50 sale price
-$100 Costco coupon
-$500 sold iPad Pro 11 2018
=$150 to upgrade to the latest iPad

Not to mention my 1.5% cash back from my Quicksilver card, which also extends the factory by 1yr.

Any thoughts on using the Warehouse pick-up option for the new iPad Pro? It still costs $5 as does the delivery. But with delivery date being unknown, I'm worried it will come on a day I'm out of town.

The pick-up option would give me 7 days to head to my local store to get it. Any reason to not do that?
I'm doing for tax reasons, driving to nearby state Costco is worth saving $50 in sales tax. I didn't even think about the shipment, I might be away on vacation. Thanks!

Costco's terms state that items shipped to the store must be picked up within 7 days, or the order will be automatically refunded.

That is why I opted for home shipping. If for some reason I am away from home for an extended time, I can direct UPS to send the shipment to a local UPS store where they will hold it until I am available to pick it up.

It should for Citi's extended warranty, but not for Costco's free 1 yr extended warranty so total of 3 yrs (1 yr Apple + 2 yr Citi).

did anyone try to price match this at best buy. only reason is because i get 6% cash back vs the 2% using my costco card.
I tried and no dice. They told me to try back when it was no longer a pre order. Not sure if I should cancel or try again when it's no longer a pre order

Costco list price is same as edu store price. Then you add $100 coupon, so Costco comes down to $650 for the cheapest iPad.

We are homeschoolers and have used Apple Education Store access for buying computers for homeschool use.

We just put in Homeschool for the name of the school and it asks you to verify that your school is homeschool.

It was a targeted coupon sent out by email -some got it some didn't. I happened to get one.
Just curious what the coupon is exactly for. Might try to talk to CSR to see if I can get one. Is it just $100 off $500 or something?
TIA
