But that is the nature of having insurance: It seems like a big waste of money when you're paying for it, but then you're happy as a clam that you have it if you ever need to use it, but then remorseful if it expires and it was never used.

Just to be clear, the 2nd order I placed - I didn't actually use a coupon. I used the code on my first order which was canceled, I chatted with them about the 2nd order, but no new coupon code as given, just the promise that $100 would be credit back to my card once the item had arrived.

The first order I had selected the option to pickup from my local store, which is why I thought it may have been canceled the first time around...but I guess not. I just placed an online order about two weeks ago with the same Discover credit card, so I doubt my billing info was an issue causing the error (what their FAQ recommends checking)

Just as a follow up, I found out through Costco chat that my order was canceled since the card being used (my Discover IT card) didn't match either of the two names on the membership (my wife and her mother).

I didn't use the Allstate one but a few years ago I bought a Ring camera and had the Walmart protection plan at that time and it worked perfectly and they got me a replacement no problem. I don't know if Allstate is better or worse than the previous company but assuming Walmart is the one really pulling the strings then it should be good. Check your home insurance too, I just got an add on policy for $2500 worth of camera equipment I have covered with no deductible for $35 for a year through Progressive.

Did you get your coupon from Costco or someone else? I got a coupon directly from Costco and the customer service person was on the phone as I purchase and it hasn't been cancelled yet. *fingers crossed*

So I placed an order for the 11" Pro, then dug deeper into this thread, and realized people had a $100 off of $500 deal. I went on to chat with rep, who told me I had most likely missed this coupon, and it had expired the day before. But she was nice enough to look through promotions, and generate a code for $50 off of $500. Not as slick as $100 off, but it was something, and along with the $20 shop cards I had, and using my Costco Visa, it was a good enough deal. I'm just waiting on a buyer for my 2018 Pro.
