Before they announced the program would be discontinued, people would buy like 4 years in advance so some people still had time left over. Best buy just recently notified current members that they discontinued the program completely and are sending checks to current members ($30 for each year membership remaining).

As of March 1, 2021, nobody has the membership.

Back in college I played a ton of the original game with my best friend, who has since passed away. Really looking forward to getting this and playing with my 5-year old son, who happens to be named after my old friend. Going to be bittersweet.

I had a feeling it would end prematurely. Never read anything in the terms that said they'd reimburse anyone for future years. Glad I stayed away. Even better reason for me to continue to avoid Best Buy

Gamers Club Unlocked is long gone. I believe it ended at the end of February. I pre-ordered a few games with the discount before it expired. It was such a great program.

Yeah. Nearly every big game is $50 at Walmart for like the first month or so. I am kind of surprised with this one though. I don't always see them doing that deal with Switch games. So, that's good to know!
