Had tried a Taotronics that was about $75, wasn't a fan. Was okay, but I didn't feel like it was worth keeping. I imagine this would be in a similar class

I have the Pro 3 from a recent SD. It's good for the price. I'm interested in the heat option in this one. Seems like a lot of people have problems with the heat. Did you try it this way:

When using the heating mode, please replace the special heating head first, and then long press the mode key to enter the pre heating mode(Orange light flashing), after pre heating 45s, the heating head enters a constant temperature state.
