Look at the Panasonic DP-UB420 and UB820 that's probably the best 4k player right now. The only difference between the models is the 820 has dolbyvision and the 420 doesn't. I have the 420 since I have a Samsung TV so it doesn't have Dolbyvision anyway.

Does anyone have any prior experience with this distributor? I'd prefer to have the slipcovers and I know they don't include those a lot of the time when doing online orders (Amazon, eBay, etc.).

Well technically there are more differences, it also has a 7 channel output and is much more intuitive with PQ adjustments.
The majority of people wouldn't need or use the adjustment advantage and the channel advantage is for legacy receiver/Pre Pro.
