"The 192 piece set is the better set if you want more sockets and extensions. The 247 piece isn't really 247 if you take away all the little screwdriver bits. The only advantage to the 247 piece set is the wrenches, which the 192 piece set doesn't have. But the 192 piece set has more sockets and more extensions. If you want an all-around kit, the 247 piece is nice because you have the screwdriver set and the wrenches. But if you want a better kit of just sockets and ratchets the 192 is the better kit."
Uh am I missing something? Everyone that's recommending the 192pc I'm seeing it at $175. Can't say I'd recommend something(even with more sockets than bits) if it's $75 higher.
I'm also interested in the case. I'm a woodworker so I don't need sockets or wrenches often, but when I do I want them to be well organized and easily found. And when I'm not using it I want to just tuck it away.
Thank you for the heads up. You are correct they are polished chrome. I'll update my post. I was more going for the color than the material, but it is better to be correct
I have a similar DeWalt set and it's amazing for the price. I use it like every day and have for years and it's all held up well. Just lost my 19mm deep welled socket after like 5 years
