Thanks, ordered one of each for 10.01 total. Lot better that the 4.99 I paid at Walmart last week for one

How do you do a cold brew with regular drip ground coffee? Don't you need coarser grind for cold brew? I've been doing a Moka and a Lavazza machine. With the summer approaching trying to find a cheaper way to make cold coffee.

I use standard retail ground coffee in these [amazon.com] cold [amazon.com] brew [amazon.com] coffee makers without any problem. The only issue you might have is finely ground coffee for use in expresso machines. But even that I have tried with cold brew and it seemed fine to me.

I get an occasional ground here and there but there's actually some evidence [coffeeinformer.com] that consuming grounds can be good for you; Turkish Coffee is a good example of this...

I find that Folgers [amazon.com] has the best cost to taste ratio when it comes to making cold brew and is reliably affordable. Sales do appear from time to time though and it's always nice to try the more expensive stuff.

Overall, making cold brew can be pretty expensive but Folgers makes it bearable; especially if you are a cheap basterd like me. Cheap & Proud! laugh out loud

Thanks for the links. Will give them a read. Right now I'm doing lavazza blue pods. Snagged a few boxes and it's 23c a cup for me at this time.
Moka works well for me. Barring the cleaning. I'm lazy. And I consume more coffee as I have a 6 cup Moka.
I want to try mixing this up a little. I don't intend to invest in a cold brew machine at this time. Planning to just get some cheap muslin and a sieve to filter the grounds.

Five-star is very good medium roast coffee... and this is a good price.
I received my five-star S&S shipment yesterday and the brew by date is 8/12/21.
The New Orleans blend is a DARK roast... most people from Louisiana prefer their Community Coffee dark.
Community is NOT finely ground.

Anyone know the difference between the New Orleans blend and their Private Reserve Louisiana blend other than price? I prefer whole bean coffee but the Private Reserve is almost 2x the price...
