This is a good deal, but be aware of only an 8th gen i-5. I have this machine from my workplace and it has definitely started to show its age in the last few months. I work in our IT department and we've had a lot of issues with the thunderbolt port working inconsistently across-the-board. So if TB is important to you, would not recommend this machine.

8GB of soldered RAM and a 250 nit screen are reasons against this. Stalking the Lenovo Outlet page or finding one of the publicly available EPP portals/passcodes would be better ways to spend $600 on a Thinkpad.
