Loving these categories, hope they stick around after the COVID pandemic ends. The 50% extra on eating out has been invaluable. My wife and I recently got our Sapphire bonuses (she got preferred, I got reserve) and combined the points. We're sitting on 150,000 points. Going to Hawaii in a couple of weeks and that should be enough to pay for all the meals on our trip and then some.

You don't normally accrue points for annual membership fee so 0 x 0.5 = 0 lol
Dont think you understand. Say you are charged annual sapphire reserve fee of $450. Previously you could only pay that off as you would normally by paying off your monthly cc statement using your bank account.
But now you can pay it off using your points which are valued 50% more. So to pay off the $450 membership fee you would only need to use 30,000 points.

I paid my annual fee 2 months ago with money, but they still let me use the pay yourself back on it. I was sitting on 400k points last month, but this program is basically giving me free money. I love it.
My annual fee was on Dec 2020 and I don't see the transaction listed

Think there's a 90 day limit.
That's correct. PYB goes back only 90-days. However, there was a YMMV retention offer where some got $150 - $250 credit to offset portion of the annual fee last year. Try calling CS to check it out, if they can still do.
I got $250 credit, and along with the $300 travel credit and the annual fee being $450 it ended up with Chase giving me $100 to use the card until October this year. PYB has been helping a lot due to non-travel that I am able to redeem dining and groceries. Glad to see it continue till September.

Annual membership fee (valid until 12/31/21)", is there a reason?
Edit: see explanation below
