Laundry detergent does expire you know
Tide (pretty much any scent besides there horrid "simply" line) have been best for tough stains. For just normal worn and not stained cloths, no reason to use the "good" stuff aka tide. Gain was meh at best (stronger after wash scents) I switched to arm and hammer as it gets rid of Normal body scents from day to day cloths, not overly scenty and for around $10-$12 every day for 210 oz it's a good middle ground. Keep the tide (not sure about persil, heard good things about persil) for tough stains and cleaning.
