Get one from Ikea smart home package. It costs 12 bucks if I'm not wrong and you can use hue app with it. Don't need any other hub.

I'm curious about how easy it would be to use the Hue app... Does it automatically recognize the IKEA bulb, or do I need to do some work to get it to sync?...

I don't remember exactly how I did but I don't remember struggling with it either. I'm sure YouTube is your best friend here. It's very stable connection, I never had to redo it, it's working since I did it a couple of years ago. Smilie
