If it's free I'll try it, I usually do Redbox for movies I really want to watch in 4K. I used to have Netflix for years but then got too many streaming services now, still it's nice to have Blu-ray since there are movies you can't always stream. Worth the trial ! I wish they had 4k
You people think you are so funny, but you are missing out!
I get Netflix DVDs/Bluray discs 8 at a time and the sound and image quality it so fantastic on my equipment that I can hardly stand to watch and listen to streaming as it is so much less quality. Plus special features, the latest movie releases, tons of older series/movies/documentaries that are not available from streaming, and more. Laugh, if you must, but I enjoy the good life of having movie theater extreme high quality visual and audio at home in my easy chair. And NEVER ANY COMMERCIALS!!!!
Genuine question, for newer titles are you saying the quality of 1080p Blu ray is better than 4K streaming? Or does Netflix offer 4K discs? Or are you comparing blu-ray to 1080p streaming?
As an alternative, a much better free trial offering is GameFly Games & Movies service with their 30 Day free trials. https://www.gamefly.com/registration

I tried GameFly exclusively for their 4K Blu Rays. They are such a joke. It's expensive and they have like 100 4K titles and most have big delivery delays or coming soon. USPS took 2 weeks to deliver the first movie. They are also no where near the quality of service Netflix is if you are expecting that tier of a customer experience.
Actually surprised how fast they actually send them out. I returned one yesterday and today I see they mailed a new one. The distribution center seems to be nearby, so that helps.

That really helps. I used to get so many disks a week and than they closed the distribution center and it slowed things down big time.
I've been getting disks from the library for free mostly.

This is a really good point, I feel like people do not understand the quality difference on quality equipment. If you have a 40inch Chinese LED TV you might not, but if you have real money in quality tech you definitely will.
Wow Netflix still does the DVDs. Used to have a great collection of older movies. Can't see how it is worth it for newer stuff (at least for me) since the newer stuff is such garbage and has been for the past 10+ years imo. I guess for free for a month you can just milk that for about 12-16 movie rentals of older stuff and then cancel, but it hardly seems worth the effort.
Miss the old days of gohastings.com and the cheap as dirt used dvds and blu-rays you could buy. Got a huge collection for next to nothing and never really bothered with renting outside of from the library after that.

Where I used to live, the local library was connected to a large number of libraries in neighboring counties and they had a great collection of stuff to rent. Got a lot of decent stuff over the years. Where I am now in Florida, their collection is not nearly as good unfortunately as they only link with other county libraries so it is hit or miss. About the only thing I can say I miss from moving out of the leftist, shitty NJ lol.
Hold on, I'm waiting for Netscape Navigator to load the site...

What year is it?!?!?!?
Yeah this is crazy...Next thing you know, people will be saying that they still use gasoline/petrol (imported from dictators in the middle east) to run their cars, or people are still using paper, coins & credit cards as currency & transactions....pfffft

GameFly does actually offer 4K UltraHD rentals. https://www.gamefly.com/registration
