I'm not sure if this is available everywhere, but I do see that it's available for shipping, so it might be. This is a good way to get RTX 3080 now as I can pick it up tomorrow.

This is a nice deal. But the case does not look like a air flow friendly one. It has a heatsink not a liquid cooling. For a 3080 system (I assume that you will use it for ultra resolution and graphics) you need a better cooling system on your case. I don't really know if 11700F is bad for this built, but I guess it's good enough. Again, it's a good deal considering 3080 prices.

"A friend of mine had problems with his alienware desktop and asked me to take a look.

I am not a fan of this PC at all. The case is super hard to open, the components are crammed together, and his 2080 super desktop couldn't play league of legends because the CPU was overheating every five minutes and gets huge fps drops.

I got him a small 120 aio (the only one that can fit in here) and fixed it, but yeah if you are at least somewhat of a pc enthusiast I would not recommend this."

An F-series processor with a 3080. Yeah, no.
If you get a game that needs more CPU power, you're going to hate not having the K-series.
Isn't the F series also overclockable?

The case is super easy to open, the components are close but fit perfectly and the cable management makes it easy. That guy is clearly exaggerating because LoL will not cause overheating.

This PC is fine, I have been gaming on the R10 which is pretty much the same case, with the stock cooler. I took it apart and added thermal paste to the GPU so I can overclock ETH mining on the 3080 and get great results.

I built all my desktop PCs since 6th grade and can appreciate the Alienware case as good quality for mainstream consumers.

Of course would recommend building if GPUs were in stock, or would recommend upgrading to the AIO cooler if you can wait for the longer lead time (otherwise install your own 120mm).

Yeah, this is one of the best deals on a 3080 I've seen in a while. You are basically getting the computer for $200.
So I got two systems, the ibuypower and the alienware...both 3080, both around ~2100. Which one would you recommend. Also do you recommend I just sell the 3080 and keep the remainder of the pc on the second one?

$230 cheaper than from Dell directly and 5 weeks faster.

Main downside is that for the 10% discount and faster delivery you give up the option to customize: you can upgrade to liquid cooling for $20 on the dell site if you choose the black case ($50 for the white one). You can also upgrade to the KF for $100 as someone suggested (though I don't think that's necessary). If it had liquid cooling option I'd have bought it instantly, now I'm going to have to research a bit more.

Why do you think it's a good idea to go into a computer thread, and spout nonsense? Do you think there aren't 1+ million people on here that know you have no clue what you're talking about.

After ebay fees, it's closer to a $400 PC without a video card.

Plus taxes on the $2200, so it's $550+

this isn't really true. what youre implying is there's a huge performance gap between the 2 processors.

looking at actual performance reviews, the gap is 5-10% so this is a really good deal all around.

if like overclocking for fun, look else where

Not in my opinion.

Better off waiting for BB to have the CyberPowerPC or ASUS Strix pre-builts with 3080s for $1999. Those will use standard parts inside, giving you more options than a proprietary Dell system.

Or, you can order a pre-built all day long from IBuyPower or CyberPowerPC w/3080 for around $1899, although there is a 6-8 week lead. Again, no proprietary parts.
