This lens usually goes for $199.99, just picked it up at Best Buy (Philadelphia) for $169.99.

Great lens for those using Nikon DX DSLR cameras. This is AF-S lens, see compatibility chart below :

https://www.nikonusa.com/images/l...-chart.pdf

Amazon just dropped it to $166.95 but availability seems to be an issue:

This needs to be your first lens after the kits your camera came with. If that's all you're using, buy this now and worry later. All of your indoor and low light shots will thank you. It's like having a new camera.

Sincerely, a guy who knows a decent amount about SLRs but usually shoots in Auto because life is busy but I still want my shots to look like I know what I'm doing. Wink
Your camera is full frame so this lens will cause your image to be cropped. You will lose some resolution. You are much better off to use the Nikkor 50mm AF-S for $220 which is full frame and will give the same focal length as this DX 35mm lens.
Have not seen a deal on this site for Nikon DX cameras or lenses in quite some time. Great quality lens for the price.

Amazing lens, but very unforgiving of focus (1.8) and shake issues. I got this as a noob years ago and hated it, because most of my shots would turn out blurry. Then realized my Nikon D7000 needed to be calibrated.

Ah yes. The infamous D7000 focus issue. I had the same (no matter how much I microtuned it) until I found a deal on a D7100 and haven't looked back.

I have the z7ii and now stocking up on any lenses. I'm new to photography, what kind of shot would this be ideal for? And does it work with the adapter?

This is a fantastic lens and great price. I have the 50mm f/1.8 glass so I don't think I need the 35mm necessarily, but if I had to pick one or the other, I would choose the 35mm.

I like this lens for portrait shots. Does great in low/medium light and you get those pretty creamy bokeh backdrops.

Best buy is too far. Price matched the best buy price at target. Worked like a charm.

This is a great lense. Just be cautious taking shots of shiny metallic surfaces. Chromatic abberation will make itself shown.
