If you want to game, it's better to spend the extra $50 on the $600 HP that Walmart has.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pav.../943933730

They are a Ryzen 3500 (6-core) with a GTS 1650 Super. A 1650 Super is roughly twice the graphical performance of a 5700G.

It looks like Walmart's website sells out of these very quickly and only 3rd party sellers are listed there. But if you can find them at your local store they are sold for $599.

Tell your mom to stay off the porn sites, they're known to have malware.

Where do you see that it's 310w? That's actually decently respectable and would most likely allow for a RTX 3060 that's not pre-overclocked.
Most of the TP series have the same PSU. The 0066 has a 310 watt PSU.

Hm i don't know if that's necessarily true. The 0066 has a dedicated graphics card (albeit a low power one).

The TP01-1160 with Ryzen 7 4700g only has a 180w power supply. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06955922

I wish HP or OD's site would show it.

Does this support 2 monitors?

also is there space to add more hard drives?
Yes on the dual monitors, but one of the ports is VGA. These you can typically add 2-3 sata drives.

I don't think anyone will miss that extra cache.
I think that might be a bad assumption, low cache is usually the first thing that obsoletes a processor. Also I'm not comparing the 4700G. I'm directly answering a question.

Someone bought this earlier today and posted in r/AMD on reddit. His pics show a 180W PSU.

I am so tired of OEMS putting HDMI 1.4 ports on their budget PCs. I get that it is intentional for market segmentation but what a waste of the 5700G.

it would need BIOS support and AFAIK none of the retail mobos you can buy support 5000G series, I don't think B450 will ever get support for it either (but who knows in the future).

According to Anandtech:
Quote :
AMD has confirmed that X570, B550, and A520 motherboards will support the new 5000G processors. X470 and B450 motherboards might also be supported, but that depends on the motherboard manufacturer. At this time, for anyone lucky enough to get one on the open market, special Beta BIOSes will be needed to enable full performance.

Do not add a videocard to this system without upgrading the psu.

Not really - L3 cache is just 1/2 of 8-core 3700x

Most board should support it given you have updated the bios, always check the supported cpu list and bios update information.
