Careful. It appears some are made in China and/or Vietnam and there have been recalls in very recent years with these.

Good deal but a lot of not so good ingredients. I wouldn't want my dog to ingest that stuff.

I'm sure there is 10 posts saying this already, but dogs can't digest rawhide. It is known to cut up their stomach lining etc. Do yourself a favor, get your dog treats that don't have a chance they may kill them.
Several things wrong about the post above
1) It doesn't cut up the stomach lining, it is more likely to block intestines if the piece is large enough as it takes 1 month to digest in their stomach..
2) Non of these treats in the OP have Rawhide. Since you didn't read the posts, it's clear you obviously didn't read the OP links either. The dream bones area rawhide free. So I am not sure what you are stating about Rawhide.
3) Truth is some dogs have no problems with rawhide. So it really depends, see the AKC website on rawhide - https://www.akc.org/expert-advice...s-for-dog/
4) AKC recommends Dream bones as a rawhide alternative - who knew?

FWIW - Why not say that - by the way letting your dogs off leash could also kill them, so there is always that. And if they eat fast or don't have a slow feeder they could get bloat and have certain death as well.

What I have learned from this thread
1) Nobody buys anything from china - can't tell if it's only dog treats or anything at all. I know they have put melamine in fake toothpaste, so I guess that's what people are referring to.

2) Don't feed your dog rawhide - it killed thousands and thousands of dogs in the 70's and 80's and 90's. I can't find the numbers, but it is true rawhide swells up and takes a month to digest. I couldn't find counts of how many dogs had their stomach cut by the rawhide, so we can probably call that false.

Respect others the way you want to be respected, even product is made in China, you shouldn't make such disrespected comment.

Solid deal, these things are usually expensive as far as treats are concerned.

These things aren't rawhide, like at all. Their entire marketing is built around that premise.

I know it has generally bad effects, must be twisting a few different things in my head. Needless to say, rawhide is generally not good for most dogs. These look exactly like rawhide, so I assumed they were and wasn't about to click the link and read when they look exactly like rawhide.

Rawhide is also known to potentially contain formaldehyde. Which I don't imagine is good for any breed, I mixed up marrow bones and rawhide, bones can splinter and cut stomach lining.

You know, your right, a dog can get run over off their leash, or choke etc. There are endless possibilities that can end anything's life. So feed your dog whatever you want, I know what I will and won't feed mine and know that rawhide in general is bad for my dogs. Wink

I tell people "don't tell me it's raining, build me an ark".

I do avoid rawhide and instead buy chew treats that are made of meat if I want them to ingest the chew treat. Otherwise I give mine a chew toy for gnawing on and give him treats on occasion for doing what I ask him to do. He's purebred Mutt by the way.

For those who got this deal and thier order shipped out are lucky. I placed an order for 3 of these deals, and amazon didn't ship it saying "we are experiencing delays", ....which usually means they purposely didn't ship it because this deal was probably a pricing mistake on their end and the order will be cancelled.

I don't always buy the best treats for my dogs but this particular brand is one that I stay away from. A friend of mine went through the agony of all three of her little dogs getting sick to the point of having surgery and eventually all dying and it was tied back to these treats.

I believe at one point she did end up suing the company and I don't know if that's related to any of these recalls.

Everybody can do whatever they like but I just wanted to throw this out there.

My 3 adult dogs and litter of 7 puppies hated these. Yes, out of ten dogs, not one would even take a second look/sniff at the things much less eat them. They usually eat duck jerky treats, maybe they're spoiled. Good deal for craft sticks.
