Free changes, but sale ends tonight so I'd have to pay miles difference right?
Wish I had enough for 4 X Tahiti. Getting card for next sale..
Keep in mind you will also earn quite a few miles if you purchase the flight, especially as a Premier member.
Base miles earned, around 3500. $675 x 5 pts/$ on your AMEX Platinum = 3375 points. So at the minimum you are earning nearly 7000 miles for your $675 ticket, and substantially more if you are a Silver or Gold member.
That's not even factoring in the value of the PQP and PQF if you're trying to reach status.
What about using a United Club card (like the Infinite)?
Look forward to visiting Jerusalem and Galilee. I was there in 2014 during the World Cups and recall the Israelis looting for Germany late at night local time...
What about using a United Club card (like the Infinite)?
Sure you can used the United Club card or any other card for the purchase of the fare, but they don't typically offer 5x points per dollar on airfare or incidentals like upgrades, etc.
I'd much rather earn 5x points on AMEX than 3x points on my United card.
