This is the best smartwatch/fitness tracker I have had and I have tried a bunch. I also really like using the Garmin app with it.

I have had mine about 18 months and I am getting 8 days of usage before having to charge the watch. There are plenty of seeable informative watch faces to download from Garmin Connect. I have purchased inexpensive bands from Amazon that allow me to swap out for a little different look. Honestly, there are features in this watch that are more than I will ever need, and likely I don't know a bunch of them. It just does everything I want in a device like this and does it well. I'll likely buy version 4 when this watch finally dies.

I paid extra for the Music version that allows me to store songs and audiobooks on the watch itself and leave my phone at home when I go for a walk.

I have a Garmin Fenix 3 and a samsung watch 3, both triple the cost of my vivoactive and the vivoactive get way more use. Light, very easy to read outdoors, great battery, quick charge, accurate HR.
I also like the 3 circles dial. It motivates me to fill them all every day / week!
Fenix i use for special runs, like a half marathon (once a year)
samsung watch 3 gets very little use. lousy battery, inaccurate hr, O2, stress and ECG are fun but ultimately useless to me.
I also tried the active watch 2. Really bad. Returned it after a week!

I believe case size is about 43mm (all though best buy says 11.1" which can't be right lol). I wouldn't pay attention to the $250 retail as it hasn't been that price since closer to when it was released. Everyday price I believe is in the $120 range now and it has been on sale new for $100 a couple times and less for a refurbished one. I don't personally own it, but people seem to really like it and $90 seems to be a really nice price for it. I have a very small wrist and can't really get away with anything larger than 40-41mm which is why I haven't jumped on any of the previous deals. I recently bought a 41mm Samsung Galaxy watch 3 from one of those crazy EDU deals, but haven't opened it yet.

8 days on a charge is phenomenal for a smartwatch. I've been a Samsung watch guy and 2-3 days is about the norm and that's supposed to be excellent.
Coming from my fancy watch days, where a nice band cost more than most smartwatches, it was a shock to see how cheap decent looking bands are for my Samsung watches. So cheap I have extras just in case my favorite breaks but it's been over a year and it's still solid.

I've got the version with onboard music storage, and my oldest daughter has this version. It's a good budget entry into the world of GPS watches, if you've been on the fence about trying one. Battery life is great, especially compared to an Apple Watch. GPS is very accurate and there's a ton of data and training tools when you use it with the Garmin Connect app. It's does an ok job of notifying you of calls and texts (better for Android phones than iPhones), but it definitely leans more toward being sports-oriented than super high tech smartwatch functions.

I bought one about a year ago, it's my first smartwatch. I really like the activity tracking and HR monitor, although I find the HR to be inaccurate occasionally. When activity tracking is enabled via GPS, battery life does take a big hit though.

If you step up to the newer Vivoactive 4, the spec page does list a blood oxygen sensor:

I have Fenix 6 pro, and its SPO2 sensor always reads 88-90. It is not reliable at all. Don't get me wrong though, this is the best watch I ever have, 14 days battery, music, onboard maps, heart rate monitor and durability.

I've had the music version of this watch since it came out. I use it mostly to run but occasionally use the smarter features. It's a great watch, however, the top lug recently broke on a run. Could no longer attach the strap and wear it as, you know, a watch. Contacted customer service and this appears to be a known defect. They sent me a replacement (after I handed mine over first) quickly at no charge. 10/10 support
