Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

If I'm on Sprint, am I considered a new or existing customer for T-Mobile?

I thought once you canceled the phone the remaining credits canceled. I was told that by a T-Mobile Rep
No, the remaining credit will move to account credit (instead of a phone line credit), but it will take 2 billing cycles to see it. I did that with the iPhone 11 Pro last year and I still getting the $31.05 credit every month on my account (I paid off back in mid November).

Then find a better deal…
I do, on the regular. Bill credits are just subsidized contract plans of old. Only benefit is no more ETFs, just buy out the phone when you leave. Just because this appears to many as the best deal at this time it doesn't mean it's slick... unless you live on TMo postpaid, I guess.

Make sure you get the water mark stickers from Ebay, the replacement won't come with that and sometimes T-Mobile will ask you about it when you are trading.

I'm an existing T-Mobile customer with 4 lines. It looks like this deal requires me to open a new line and trade in any phone up to $830 max credit(I'll trade in iPhone 11 Pro Max) , rest of the balance on pro max will be $1099-$830 over 24months. Did I get this right?

Guys, there are 2 promotions, I added something to the Wiki, for those who are seeing "add a line" on the other promotion (which will last longer than the Mother's Day promotion).
I'm confused. No promo on Tmo says that you DON'T need to add a line.
