Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

In my opinion, this is a good deal only if you're current T-Mobile customers. Most of us are having multiple free lines via their promotions and free phone with monthly credits is a nice bonus.
Wait, someone remind me, on a family plan with Tmo, how long after I get a free line for life, can I can cancel a line and not get any kind of a penalty? Also, do I get to choose which line to cancel, or do I have to cancel one of the other lines (the on free for life line), which would mean I'd lose that phone number?

Any thoughts if Select Choiice FAM plan would be eligible?

Would this work if you are on Sprint?
No, this is for regular TMobile customers. Sprint has their own free 12 with i8 trade-in for a while now

Why can't Verizon do these deals. No wonder T-Mobile is growing subscribers in record numbers...

The only Sprint deal I am seeing is BOGO. Where do you see the trade-in deal?

How to get this offer:
Activate a new line of service on an eligible plan.
Purchase a new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, or iPhone 12 mini on a monthly payment plan and pay applicable sales tax on pre-credit price at time of purchase.
Trade in an eligible device in good condition:

It says activate a line so it seems toy need to activate a NEW line?
I've witness the terms change when refreshing.
Now it says "Have a qualifying line of service on an eligible plan."

Yes you can.
Just chat with T-Mobile, if you need to trade in your phone, then the remaining credit will be gone.

One more question.... am I better going to a store and paying it off vs doing it online? Is there a processing time for payments or will it show up immediately as paid off?
I would do whatever is best for your card rewards. I went to the store, used my apple card for 3% cash back, turned right around when the cashback posted and used that plus my bank account to pay it off. Saved me another $15. Apple pay only gives me 2% on tmobile online and the store is on my way home, not out of the way at all and it saved me $5. But if you get more airline miles and it doesn't matter online or in store, then whatever is more convenient for you.

Then I have question on how it works.
At present, my credits are $10/month and I owe $12/month.
So the actual EIP is $22/month.
There are 10 months left for my EIP to complete. So If I pay off now, it would be $22*10 = $220.
Then I continue to get remaining credits and rest of the 10months? which would be $22/month credit for 10months? Is my math correct?
No, the credits don't change. You would pay it off and get rid of the $12/month fee added to your bill but the credit of $10 would still be there. So effectively it's like a $22/month swing, but you are really paying $120 upfront to get that. Hope that makes sense.

Sorry for asking this silly question.... if I'm trading in a very good condition IPhone 8 64gb with no cracked screens and functions normally, will I get $830 in 24 months bill credits when I buy an iPhone 12 Max Pro? Or the amount I can get for this trade in won't be $830, but something much less? Can someone confirm this? Thanks! 🙂
