Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Did anyone look at the shipping label you print to mail your trade in phone to Assurant? How come the trade in price listed there only $113 instead of $830 when trading in a iPhone 8+?!? Should this be something to be concerned about?

Up to $830 off , but it's really $300 off + your expensive phone
Bro you're a clown! Did you look at the low end phones trading for the full $830????

TBH I'm not familiar enough with Androids to even mess with those flipping but I pretty easily tracked down a store selling iPhone 8's for $200 each. Going this morning when they open and buying 2. $400 then trades into 2 iPhone 12's..................... If that's not a deal you're literally weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetarded.

That's the instant trade-in value of your devices. They will apply that amount one time when finishing inspection on it. The difference will come as monthly credit to your account over 24 months period.

1 line $60 a month unless you're a senior.
They price single lines pretty hard compared to 2 lines and then you get a 3rd for free.

How come I'm seeing my s10 only worth 160 trade in? I'm on military one plan.
It doesn't matter whether it's 160 or 0 or 300. You will get the rest in bill credit for 24 months. ( Up to 830 )

Did you pay attention at checkout??????
It clearly displayed your TIV as the $113 in this case and said you get that off your first months bill. Then the difference of $717 would be diviided over the next 24 bills.

I am sorry if someone has already asked this question, but can I buy a single line now and then join a family plan later and still get the monthly credit? Thanks

To people considering open a new T-mobile account to take advantage of the deal, I don't think this is good enough. You should wait for the right time to stack BOGO deal with devices trade-in later. Just my 2 cents.

Does T-Mobile track the source porting account when tallying it "limit 2"

Family has one Verizon account, for lines.

I port 2 lines from my Verizon account to my new T-Mobile account. My wife ports two lines from my Verizon account to her own new T-Mobile account.

Ideas?

… was about to ask who else is heading straight to Micro Center in the morning. Have both Pixel 2 and 3 to trade (wife finally convinced to move to iOS) but buying the refurb 8 makes even more sense.
