Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

I just clicked "upgrade", and went through the steps. Perhaps try contacting them. Or maybe someone else here might offer some more help.
Are you logged in? Maybe that's the disconnect for me.

For those buying at microcenter, their website states no returns allowed due to covid. Kinda concerning
All we need to do is make sure the phone turns on, right? (to be eligible for a trade in). Bough one refurb 6s from them in June 2020; the phone stopped receiving signal in about 10 days after use so I returned it. For this deals here, it would really matter.

Ordering online saves $20 in activation fees from doing the same thing in stores.

Upgrading my iPhone X finally.

Used to jump on these deals but it seems so wasteful now that we only pay $15 a month through Mint for the same service lol

Wow. Plans are expensive. Kills the deal for me. I'm paying 35$/line/month with Verizon for unlimited everything. T-mobile is north of 70$ for the same plan. I just want new iPhone on deal.

If I trade in my wife's XR can I just pull the SIM and swap it or do I still need to pay the $10 for a new SIM? What is the $20 fee for?

I have chatted if I can upgrade Samsung A71 I got as free after bill credit.

Here is response from T-Mobile.

"Your Samsung A71 is locked up to 24 months. Any changes made on this line will stop the promotion."

can someone who has multiple credits on the same line provide a screenshot from your account? I'm chatting on Twitter and they are saying you can't have multiple credits on single line even if the existing EIP is paid off.

SIM swap should work fine. I believe a new SIM comes in the box regardless. $20 is for if you go into a store to do this.

Also the rep I chatted with mentioned that it takes 1-2 billing cycles for the promo to become activated, so the first 1-2 billing cycles would be $132.51 for 2 lines on Magenta 55+, a new iPhone 12 Pro Max and a Samsung A71. After promo pricing the billing would be $81.21.

Did anyone else have this experience??

Yes I was also told it will take 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to start. So you'll have to pay for the 1st month or two. However the bill credits will still be for 24 credits so you'll still get credited the full amount according to what was explained to me.

For a discount does anyone know if doctors qualify as first responders? I saw they include nurses and "first responders".... as usual doctors are left out (I've been denied as first responder for previous things... and it's just funny to see nurses as a category in places but not doctors)
