Ordered two phones online. Very smooth process so far. Only downside is paying for shipping (and the slow 6+ day kind).

Anyone know if you can change the IMEI after you set up the trade in? I want to use one from a phone I'm not trading in while waiting for the $150 Boost one to arrive?
From previous experience, i had to cancel the order and redo an entire new order when changing the imei of the trade in.

Not a trade in fee. It's a support fee for doing a transaction in store. $20 support fee, $10 sim (if you need a new one, which it's a 5G phone, so you are going to need the new sim)
I inserted an "old" sim into a 12 mini and I was able to get 5g. 5g appeared on the top right of the phone

I took advantage of the one that just ended too. It is similar to sales, you never know when a better one will come along. But if you wait too long you will miss out. I did not expect another one that was better so soon.

5G Standalone cannot be accessed with an older sim. You are accessing 4G towers that support 5G. You are going to need a new sim down the road. The SIM that comes with this phone is the proper sim card needed, so if you decline the new sim in store to save $10, you are going to need a new sim later on.

I'm currently at Costco doing this deal- if you do the deal here you save on activation fees and get $30 shop card per phone. Only catch is that they order the phone and you have to mail in the device still instead of in person trade in.

unless your old sim card is from 15 years ago then u need new sim card. otherwise there is no difference between 4G and 5G sim card.

I'm not denying your phone reporting '5g' and the speeds you are showing.

You can't access a standalone 5G tower with an older sim card.

Do you get the prepaid card in mail after 14 weeks like the previous Costco offers or is it the 24 month bill credit? What did they offer?
