Did he give you a new iPhone or you have to wait for the UPS delivery?

Thanks.
Have to wait for UPS delivery.

Trade-in device DOES NOT have be registered on the Tmobile network to be eligible. Just completed a transaction with a $200 refurb iPhone 8 bought locally at MicroCenter. System validated the IMEI and confirmed 830 trade in credit.
Apparently that seems to be the case for T-Mobile and not Sprint. Sprint seems to only work if the device is on the line, if not, you have to call or store.

I was told by 2 separate reps that I would lose the monthly credits on my Samsung if I pay it off early and trade it in for the $830 iPhone credit. Did they change something because last year I paid off a phone early and still get the credits.
I paid off an EIP in Feb to do the S21 promo. I'm still getting the credits. What was the exact question you asked them?

Yeah, YMMV. I see no huge benefit going to Costco for this deal. You're still locked into 24 months, still have to ship the trade-in phone to the Assurant clowns, and wait for delivery of the iPhone to your home.

Chatting with T-Force usually results in them waiving shipping and service fees. I realize that Costco offers $30 rebate card, but I will gladly forego that to avoid interacting with the Wireless Advocate morons, waiting at the kiosk forever, as well as avoiding the drive to Costco, and the weekend crowds there.
That's fair. For me no wait, the guy was pretty smart and knowledgeable and since I did 2 phones it's about $100 savings when adding shop cards and activation savings and I don't mind doing the mail in trade and waiting for the phone for that.

So my local Boost store said he'd sell me the iPhone 8 for $175 cash (with the first month plan included). This would have no issues qualifying for the offer right? Boost isn't a contract or any type of finance etc and should work without issue? Then, after the month, the plan just cancels? I never used Boost before. He said he wouldn't even take my info.

Do you need to give Costco the imei? Would be great if you could upgrade now and acquire the teade in device later.
They need the trade in phone in person for inspection, even though you still have to mail in.

As long as you meet the terms of a trade in, find my iphone turned off, no cracks, etc, you will be fine. It can be locked to any provider. You are trading it in, it doesn't need to be a tmobile phone.

Do you get Costco prices for the iPhone? Like $50 off usually?
No for this specific deal it's a TMobile deal only and can't touch the Costco inventory so it's regular pricing. Plus most of the time for Costco IPhone pricing it's only if you buy outright and not EIP

Same here. Bought two from MicroCenter. It said refurbished, but I call it used lol. Verified the condition and everything else ( did not verify whether it's 64GB storage since it won't matter during evaluation, all iPhone 8s are the same value ), all checks out. Went through normal process of upgrading my two eligible lines ( it needs to be free of EIP, pay it off otherwise ), saw the screen with $830 confirmation on both orders. Fantastic deal!

I currently have a Samsung A71 under EIP. I am planning to pay it full and then get this Mother's Deal for iPhone 12. Then plan to sell the iPhone 12. Which websites are good for selling a new and unused iPhone?
I like FB marketplace. Sometime you have to deal with scammers that offers way more to have the item ship. Best thing is "No paypal fee, shipping fee" and not worry about buyer claiming that he/she never received the item or making some outrageous excuses. It will take sometime to find a buyer on FB if you are not in a hurry to sell it

I asked if i would still get the bill/promo credits for my Samsung phone if I pay it off early and trade it in for the $830 iPhone credit promo.

First rep told me if I pay off the old device the credits will stop to give way for the new promo as they cannot give 2 promos on one line. Second rep told me if I pay it off early the promotion applied to it will drop off since the first requirement for the promo is to get the phone under the installment plan.

Does anyone know if TMobile for business accounts also get this?
Interested in finding out about this as well? Did you get any additional info?
Edit: I called TMobile Customer service... they were able to honor the deal for me... When I tried online, I got an error saying that it's not eligible. I called in-store guys were able to confirm that my business account lines would be eligible as well.

Just did the upgrade over the phone and it was seamless so far.
Initial out of pocket looks like this:
Device/Accessory Description Cost/Down Payment
iPhone 12 Pro Max - Pacific Blue - 256GB $199.99
iPhone 12 Pro Max - Gold - 128GB $99.99
Sub Total $339.98
Sales Tax $181.35
Estimated Shipping $14.99
Total $536.32

I think they said there was a fee for doing the upgrade over the phone of $20 but that seems well worth it to me given the many pitfalls and cost of screwing it up Smilie
Rep said the new monthly fee would go up by about $8 per phone ($16 in our case)

So if you do the math that works out to $536+($16*24 Months)= $920 over the next 2 years for roughly $2500 (including tax) worth of phones.

Also we are still on the 55+ senior plan that runs about $70/month for 2 unlimited lines.
