Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

I'm seeing varying posts about acceptance of trade-in devices that have back of phone with cracked glass. I have XR that is perfect in every way except back of phone has cracked glass, much like a cracked plate would look with multiple cracks running through it. Will it be acceptable?

You typically rarely get extra trade value over a base model phone. So for future trade, 128 Pro Max 12 is not likely to get more trade value than a regular 64 iPhone 12. There are exceptions, so it can vary from promo to promo.

Also, variants like the Mini or SE often get much less trade value than expected, and often end up in a lower tier than they deserve.
