In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

If your local Costco has fewer people, or you do not mind the wait, I would choose Costco vs local TM store.
You need to activate a brand new line, pay for a brand new phone, give up your old phone and then get the money back incrementally over the next 2 years which is basically a 2-year contract despite no contract.
I would suggest you read pages, then you might "get" it, the deal that is.
Kindly suggest focusing on getting a new line part..
Or, yes, this is not a deal, for some at least

The down payment applies to the cost of the phone and the remainder is financed over a 24 month period. I believe they deem it based on your credit score.
On the last part, it depend on which Costco you go.
Many in my area simply took the IMEI, and told me they do not inspect the trades as they do not want to be responsible.
I only showed them the IMEI on the phone box
