Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Btw, I have been using both Android and IP for a long time(company phone has been IP). I actually prefer top notch Android, but IP is far from painful to switch to either.

My assessment also involves having to pay off ip12 when another Android trade in opens up. I recognize we continue to get credits but it's upfront payment at that time.

You're considering holding ip12 or selling it?

To those that did this with the last round….how is the monthly credit handled for you? I traded my 8+ for a 12 and now on my 2nd new bill since that transaction. As far as I can tell, there was an $830 debt when phone was shipped and a later $830 credit which I assume is from processing my trade. I also have 24mo commitment showing, but no equip charge + credit on the printed (pdf) bill. Doesn't matter to me how they do it as long as net amount still the same…but seems kinda odd, not that I'm complaining.

I don't think you can get a better iPhone trade-in value in the future with the A71. Maybe with a Samsung phone, but since they've already released the A72 so a chance for even trade-in like this will be slim.

I am holding on to it. Like I added later, I have been using both android and IP together for a long time. IP is not painful to switch to, but next time if I can trade in for a free samsung s22, I will keep the ball rolling. As for the upfront payment you are concerned about, this is just an added benefit of the tmobile promotion, I have been paying for a phone upfront for the longest time, so I didn't really feel much loss there
