You're missing the point. The Watts are HEAT. It won't actually cool your room unless you have an air conditioner on. I've been running it at night and my room just keeps seeming hot. This might be the explanation!

EDIT: From what I can tell, Vornado fans use about the same amount of energy as these Woozoo ones. So if I want to run a fan, my room needs an open door so that it's not a closed system.
