This seems like a great price. Newegg has a promotional price of $230 with coupon if you don't have a Costco membership. Anyone think it's worth this?

25 devices? That's not even enough for all the smart devices at home. Let along all the tablets and iPhones and others.

I am not a networking expert. According to my router, I have 86 devices connected at any given time. I wonder the 25+ number just means the bandwidth or soft/hard ceiling for devices connected?

Same. I have bulbs/tv/smart speaker all connected at the same time for my mesh Wifi. It's about 50 devices at one time. I think 25 is probably for each router here in the case but I am not sure. Even if it's only 25/router. Still too less for a big home

I have this router since Nov 2020.
never had to reboot so very robust connection.
Mesh concept is ok but not great as I still have dead spots at home 2700 sq ft)

I have 400Mbps internet speed at home
when I am close to main one I get almost full speed.
With satellite connection it drops at least 40% speed.
upload speed doesn't seem to be affected by that.
when I had 100Mbps internet, I didn't see any speed drop on satellite router.

if you have Lenovo Duet, max speed I get is 20Mbps whatever I do.
I searched everywhere to find solution but no luck.
one thing that came close to the solution was turn off PMF option but this router I can't find option.

overall it's OK but not great router

I can't say much about this nighthawk, but my current mesh hardware is an older Netgear Orbi system (WiFi5, dual-band only) getting ~180Mbps at my farthest device on a 300Mbps connection. I was hoping to up my wireless speeds a bit more so I grabbed the TP-Link Deco M9 from Costco (WiFi6, tri-band) and was positive I'd see a noticeable increase in speeds. I placed the router and satellites in the same exact locations as my Orbi mesh hardware and the speeds actually dropped by ~40%. I'm completely baffled. Just sharing my experience...

My interpretation is probably 25 simultaneous down/upstreams. I have about 40'ish devices in my house, but tbh at any given time, probably only 1-5 are actually active sending/receiving any significant amount of traffic/packets.

Just bought it today. The mobile app settings are limited. You can't do much. If you want a more advanced feature set , need to use the web dashboard at 192.168.1.1 (or your default gateway).

There I see things like QOS and DNS changes.

This is like bare minimum bare bones type of router and you can't get 3rd party firmware to increase your options.
My biggest problem is that it does not let you set different SSID for 2.4ghz network, and somehow non of my 2.4ghz devices can connect to this, I don't know what's wrong with this thing but it does not let me setup. Speed and coverage is just fine, once you add the extenders they are fine but still there is a problem/confusion when it tries to connect to main unit instead of extender, you have to disconnect and reconnect, so weird setup.
For the price (I got it for $200 at Costco) I would expect more options/features, it's really nothing special.
