This is the brand New 4k HDMI 2.1 version display from Aorus. This must have literally just gone on sale today. It's perfect to take full advantage of Next Gen Console or 30 series Nvidia video card gaming pc's. The specs on this monitor are insane. I'm waiting for the smaller 32inch version, but I don't think you will find this monitor in stock anywhere else and certainly not at this price anytime in the near future.

This could have been good for PC desk use if it were curved. I would have given it a shot. Flat requires too much head/eye movement when sitting close.

I'm perfectly OK with VA over IPS since I prefer contrast over color accuracy.

I suppose you could wall mount this and sit further back, but that would defeat the 4k resolution. At that point, just go bigger and the 48 CX OLED would be better overall.

For the TV side of things, the new Hisense line is very promising and the TV's are coming out very soon. Downside is that the minimum size is 55 which i'm not sure what they were thinking.

VA is actually better than IPS now. the worst panel tech you can get is TN, Anandtech did a piece I think on IPS, VA and TN and they detailed house the new generation of VA panels from LG and Samsung are superior to IPS. You can research this yourself. If I hadn't spent so much money on 4 x 3080's, 4 x 3060's and 1 x 3070 for mining I would have bought this.

This monitor checks all the boxes for me...Free sync/g sync compatible/hdr1000/4K @ 120hz at a reasonable price point. I was really considering the lg CX but 48 inches is too big for me and I don't want to do all the tips and tricks to reduce burn it

You mean this one?

Saying VA is better than IPS without stating the use case is very misleading.

I have two VA 144hz panels and while both have really good contrast and black levels, I still game competitively on my IPS screens. One of my VA panels has this subtle but noticable blurry black text. The other one has color shifting when not viewing directly at the center of the monitor.

With that said I typically go for the VA monitors because I don't game as much as I used to.

I'd spend the extra $350 and get the OLED.

Burn in. A factor if you do a lot of office work on it. This is one reason why we don't see OLED tvs marketed strictly as PC monitors.

Also I find the height of a 48 inch display a bit too much in my setup. 43 inch is more workable.

I just bought it a few minutes ago. Wish it was 38" monitor but specs seem pretty awesome. Not expecting oled quality but the price is perfect for what you get.

Yeah and why you dont see even OLED TV's DisplayHDR certified either since they cant maintain anywhere near the fullscreen brightness for HDR as shown here https://displayhdr.org/performanc...ia-cts1-1/
The brightest OLED TV which is the Sony A90J now only does 169 nits full field vs the 1000 nits on this monitor laugh out loud https://youtu.be/D0t5s5eQ38k
Would've seriously considered getting this if it was IPS instead of VA since color shifts moving head around on such large screen going to be noticeable. I notice it on current 27" VA even and very annoying. Rather put up with some IPS glow and bright full screen HDR than perfect blacks on OLED.
