I went to a doctor's office that had one of these as a precheck. My temp reading was 95 degrees so I think it was off.

These are very inaccurate. We have one at work and the readings we get on the same person range from 33 to 39. Invest in a more accurate thermometer.

The numerous reviews of inaccuracies is concerning. It's a great price, but I'll pass given those reviews and the Fakespot evaluation. Hope no one uses these at the entrances of public venues!

can be purchased as a toy thermometer. really cant bet on this reading when we are sick and trying to find if we are running temperature.

Agreed. The only accurate reading is the one that's not contact-less thermometer, which is temple, tympanic, and probe thermometer.

I wouldn't go to see the doctor if the doctor office is using contactless thermometer to check your temp inside office.

Don't buy this. It reads my forehead at 89 degrees. Complete junk.

I bought it last time and compared it to my other under the tongue meter and found this to be accurate. You must have set it wrong mode. There are two modes: people and objects. You need to choose people mode to get correct reading. If you use objects mode, you will get a very low reading.
