Pretty sure these offers only exist in markets where comcast has a competitor.

The only offer for me is 50mbit for $69.99 or local TV + 100mb for $65, both on contract. I'm currently on 100mbit for $49. I could even cancel and sign-up on a new name for less. These offers are straight-up scams.

Every year I call to 'cancel' and ask for the same deal again. This is what it looks like when you have no competition. Applause

I saw it earlier this afternoon on the day my existing plan expired and talked to Customer Loyalty where they were going to over me a repeat of $45/month on 100 Mbps but I pointed out their online offer and although it was for new customers, the rep was able to get me it. 400mbps for $30/month after $10 discount on paperless billing and autopay. Good for 12 months.

This was for San Jose. I have a relative in San Francisco and checked her account. She didn't have that offer. But they're giving her 50 Mbps for $40/month flat rate with no promotion, so that's good enough for her for a single studio apartment.
What is your upload speed?

anyone knows when I upgrade will my old ass Arris SB6141 modem lose internet immediately or will I have time to shop for a good deal on the latest modems?
I use SB6141 , right after changing my plan to 400mb, my modem restarted automatically, and back online right away. Tested the speed now I got 284mbps down, and 13mbps up. With this, I don't think will upgrade my modem

I hate you.... I pay 80 (or very close to it) for 200mbps. They have a monopoly here.
And I pay $80 for 100mbps - clearly none of the regulations in place are helping us!

As soon as I confirmed my plan, I got disconnected.
After reconnection, I see 475 download and 12 upload.
I was okay with 100/6 which was ending in June first week.

Every year or 2 when my promo rates goes away I go for the renegotiation with Xfinity. Last time I ended up with a 2 year 200 Blast internet and the X1 125 channel dvr plan for $70.

however (this should be illegal) when I got my first bill I noticed it was for $110. Comcast/Xfinity tacked on 40 bucks of fees and some tax to my plan. Although the $70 is a fixed price their fees increase every year. Not 100% if the same fees apply to internet only plans but be careful.

for $40 of Xfinity monthly fees I could get Disney+, Netflix and Discovery+ Every month instead. :/

I'd rather keep my 300mbps service with Verizon for $40 than deal with Comcast's yearly haggling.

Yup, I'm paying $60 in fees for X1 performance pro w/ 220 channels and 400Mbps with phone line (Triple Play). Offered $160 to upgrade to 1200 Mbps w/ same phone plan and 220 channels + HBO max. Downgrading to 600Mbps and 140 channels is $130 (both no contract)

how was your speed test before upgraded to 400mbps? I'm currently on 200 mbps and never really noticed about the speed. I did a speed test just now and it's only around 50 mbps, and as far as i remembered, it's always been like that ~ 50mbps. I always thought the 200mbps is some correlation to convert to the "actual" speed (slower), but I guess I'm wrong here? I have the same SB6141 as well. Thanks

I got to say, my experiences with them have been a little better. If you call within two weeks of your plan about to expire, they'll give you offers through an automated service and can sign up without talking to anyone or haggling within 5 minutes.
