Worked well while it lasted. I had it for maybe 9 months and suddenly water stopped coming out, though I DID NOT follow instructions and used bleach in the cleaning solution. They only advise using water and/or their cleaning solution. I suppose salt deposit from the bleach could've clogged the nozzle.

While it doesn't have laser navigation, one of its cleaning modes (not sure what it's called but it only cleans the rest of the room in front of the robot) is pretty efficient. Also scrubbed off grime from the kitchen, and is the only mopping robot that scrubs AFAIK aside from the iRobot scooba which is discontinued (and also highly unreliable, I went through a replacement tank every year).

I've tried the mopping ones with a wet microfiber and water tank they just don't do anything unless there is some physical agitation.

Bleach oxidizes stuff, including metals. I don't agree with the salt deposition hypothesis.

Thanks in for one. Reviews look good. Working 12+ hour shifts, I could use a little help around the house

Tempting. I have a small army of Scoobas for all of the hard floors in our house but it's time for an upgrade. Parts and batteries are getting harder to find and for the cost of that upkeep I'd like to get something upgraded/stronger suction/more reiable after all of these years.

This is the only other option I've seen and agree the "wet pad" that gets dragged around with most vacs that claim to mop the floor do nothing.

I like the added height of this too as I somehow think it won't wedge itself under things and get trapped as much as the Scooba.

I've had a bunch of robot vacuums, and I'm a tinkerer, when something breaks I try to fix it. The iLifes I had (A4 & v5s) had worse build quality than early Neato (V21) or N79 Ecovacs.

Seems pretty good for the price. Kind of waiting to see what other people have to say.

Anyone have any experience with the protection plan Amazon offers? At $173 I'm not sure if it's worth it to get the protection plan though.

I have had the 400 for a while now. Along with the roomba braava jet M6 and 240. Unless they really redesigned how this updated version operates I would avoid. The spinning brush makes contact with floor 2 inches in the middle. After a cleaning the center of brush is filthy and the ends are clean and untouched. Bought it to replace my 240 and if I had to do it again I would have gotten the 240 again. Ended up getting the M6 shortly after. For the money the 240 can't be beat if you are willing to move it room to room. The 240 has a couple feature that best it's big brother. #1 replaceable batteries so you can keep cleaning without waiting for a charge and resume (M6) and the vibrating mop pad seems to be more effective at removing stains. I am looking to replace them all with the Roborock S7 eventually. It does clean the floors because you can see how filthy the dirty water tank is afterwards.

Thanks for the input. I actually didn't buy this because of your post. Just kept forgetting to repy. I actually have the 240. I bought it around 2 years ago. I use it occasionally and it does a decent job for what it is. The little mop pad is always pretty dirty afterwards. It's good for small rooms like the restroom and possibly a smaller bedroom, but larger areas are definitely a no go.
