According to rtings it is WRGB which really kills the deal.
That RTINGS review is for an IPS panel. The 70" model in this thread has a VA panel (mentioned in the same review), and I've never heard of a VA panel having WRGB pixels.

What kind of HDMI ports are these? 2.1? So can be used with a ps5?

Picked up mine yesterday and so far no complaints. Like the fact that it has Apple AirPlay, so I don't need Roku like I would've needed on my previous LG. Didn't want to buy another Roku since I already had one, but that's being used in the media room for the projector. Guess buying another Roku would've been cheaper, but oh well. laugh out loud

No HDMI 2.1 ports on this tv. You can still use with PS5, but the best, properly displayed format will be 4K@60Hz.

$599 at Bestbuy - only $50 cheaper... Great price for 70" but mixed reviews ? any feedback from owners ?
I bought 2 back in 2018 from Sam's. No issues at all for me. They're used for PS5 gaming and normal viewing.

How much for extended warranty at sams club?
I bought the extended warranty back in 2018. Haven't needed it. Waste of $$

Be careful with LG products. They don't stand behind their products very well. I've had experience first hand with this with one of their phones and a friend had issues with his LG fridge that they didn't stand behind.
That's surprising. I bought a $2,500 LG fridge back in 2015 brand new, and it failed about 1.5 years ago (past the warranty period). I called LG and they asked for the serial, then sent out a repairman free of charge to fix it. He couldn't fix it the first time because he didn't have the part, but came back and fixed it the second trip.

Also had a LG G4 phone in the past that had issues, and they recalled it for whatever reason. The fix was hassle free.

Maybe LG just likes me more? (My stovetop and current phones are non-LG.)

Guess you forgot to check the link in the OP where it is listed in the specs having one year warranty?

I sent an email to LG support. They confirmed this is a VA panel TV. Those who bought it this week, can you tell how the picture quality is?

That's pretty cool but whatever game that is implements surround pretty terribly. The extreme angle on the sides are not realistic at all. The way the image of the horizon on the front suddenly changes to a weird angle on the sides would take away from the experience in a major way. I can imagine games that implement surround imaging properly would be really immersive though.
