Has a bad reputation because it was technically buggy on release but it's been patched significantly over time. This is actually one of the better Assassin's Creed games that still focuses on stealth and being an "assassin" instead of the more recent combat focused games. A steal at only $1.

I'm a longtime AC fan and I have to disagree. While the game did get patched a ton to be more playable, the game itself was one of the worst AC games at the time when the games were still focused on assassins. It was the first one that I had to force myself to beat during those run of games. I felt even Syndicate was much better.

Syndicate was definitely better than Unity but Unity was not worse than AC3 in my opinion. I tried to beat that one twice and couldn't get through it either time on account of the boring protagonist and forced emphasis on tree parkour to make up for the lack of tall structures to scale. Unity's story isn't the greatest the series has to offer but the gameplay more than makes up for it. And it introduced multiplayer co-op missions which, while not perfect, were a nice new addition to the formula.

I enjoyed AC3's story much more than Unity actually. AC4 tho is probably the best the series had been since AC2.

If you have a VR headset, recommend "Eagle Flight" when it's on sale for cheap.


It's a Ubisoft VR game where you fly as an eagle in first person view. They appear to have reused much of the AC models of Paris. (Of course, mostly outside parts). It's aged progressed to after humans no longer exist.
