Don't get this too close to the heat source, but these things turn a limp morning-after campfire back into an inferno quickly. I've also used it to kickstart a lit chimney of charcoal.

I love this tool...it's great. Nice and compact. Perfect for blowing off sawdust around the shop. Worth every penny!

The 747 high volume hose sucks. It has a ton of air leaks and breaks off at both ends. I think I would like this version for pool style inflatables since there is no hose.

Will this inflate a stand up paddleboard?
With the right adapter, this will do most of the work. To get it to the full PSI, though, you'll need to finish off with a hand pump.

This is a single purpose tool but it nails that purpose. The P747 is great all around, but this thing will inflate at high volume and low pressure way better than the 747. It can't do tires, but it's not meant to. I use it to inflate and deflate towables on the boat and it's worth every penny. I have the P747 as well (keep one in both cars) but this runs rings around it.
Interestingly, they have about the same volume rating (7.1/7.2 scfm). I own this tool, and love how light and compact it is.

I never checked the specs but I'm shocked to hear that. Unless I have a dud of a P747, there's no way that's possible. I have both so I haven't used it in that manner, but I'm also pretty sure there's no way to deflate using the 747, which is a very handy feature when you're trying to get those last cubic feet of air out of larger inflatables for storage.

This would be perfect to get ur charcoal going.
i use it to cheat on my campfires.. combined with a diy version of this you can go from a tiny fire to an inferno in 30 seconds, lol.

https://www.thegreenhead.com/2019...s-rake.php

great for camping to get the remanants of the previous nights fire cranked up again without wasting a bunch of kindling.

lots of people saying the combo is a better buy.... i prefer to have separate tools. the combo sits in my garage for tire duty. if thats all i had id have forgotten the mattress inflator numerous times. instead i have this one and it lives in the bag with my air mattress so its impossible to forget when im rushed and tossing everything in the car last second.

you can deflate with the 747, but i agree on the performance. my 747 is slower than the 738 by a lot.

People keep arguing this one over the multi purpose one. I actually want all of Ryobi quirky tools at this point, especially with these prices. Each one will serve it's purpose.

And it's also out of stock, thanks guys.

Both will deflate. Ports are on the top of each.
The compressor is great at the beach for re-inflating tires.
The blower/inflator is great for blowing sand out of the camper when beach camping.
Experienced both last month!

Love this blower. It is so portable. My uses for it so far includes
  • Inflating Air Mattress for car camping. Single 4ah will last through many inflate / deflates.
  • Inflating Intex Kayak
  • blow out the clogged up Ryobi hand hand vacuum filter
  • blow out dusty computer components
Bough 2 back when it was ~$7.

It's a handy tool to add to your random "It was on sale" Ryobi collection. I've been using this lately more than the drill. Great for inflating/deflating a giant inflatable pool and the myriad of toys that go with it. Also use it for light dusting. Loud and painful to the ears though. Note that the trigger is actually a push switch. As in: press once to turn on, again to turn off. I usually just let it run on it's own until the pool is inflated.

That is exactly why I'm getting one. I also BBQ/smoke lots of food and it will help get a nice fire started so you get some good hot coals to cook with.
