The gasket is made of SPC and ironically is in the same class of resins that is used by a few of my customers in things such as blood bag liners and IV's.

the medium deep 4.7 cup Costco set has two
This is the size I use most followed by the medium reg 3,2 cup and the small 1.3 cup
No use for the tiny 0.5 cup
Large 9.6 cup gets used mostly for freezer or large bags of nuts or dried fruits that don't need access often. The lid takes more work than suits me for frequent access.
No, never microwave! They melt.
For salads and veggies I need a crisper that will breath, For that I haven't found anything better then the Rubbermaid Commercial which have easy access and are indestructible.

A soapy finger inserted under the seal will clean thar area well even with fat fingers, I think the silicon softens after a while.
Target has the 4.7 cup 1.1 liter essential size for $8 ea but as diavolo33 points out the Walmart 18 pc is a better deal.
Target $17.99 deal is still missing the above but could be a good starter set for some.
No rhyme or reason on the pricing. Target 3.2 cup $4.50 ea. In the 5 pack raises the cost to $5.60ea. Individually $7.20
Never a deal to buy a set with un-needed sizes. I add up the lowest cost of sizes need then make sure the set doesn't cost more.
